My trip to OR for my cousin's 40th birthday party was for the most part great. It was wonderful to see many friends I haven't seen in a while. My cousin had a great time and I think her favorite was the pinata'!
I saw my grandma and leaving her Monday was one of the hardest things I've had to do. I encouraged my mom, aunt, sister and cousin to go and visit her and encourage her to get out of the rehab place she is in. Encourage her to do her physical therapy. She knew who I was and I talked most of the time. She knew everything I was saying. A few times she said she wanted to go home. I looked her in the eyes and repeated to her about going home and then I told her if she wanted to go home she needed to do her physical therapy, get those legs moving and get out of that place. That rehab place was no place for her. She could do it. She could prove those wrong that want to keep her there. She didn't need help feeding herself or drinking. She was capable to do it. With some encouragement from family she could be out of there. I was so sad knowing I was leaving and I couldn't be one of the ones who could go visit her and help her walk and get her out of there. When I left her I told her "the next time I see you I want to see you out of this place". I do not know when I will see her next but I believe she heard me. As long as she is encouraged to get up and get walking she can do it.
Renn made All Stars this year so we are not quite done with baseball. He is excited about it. I, on the other hand, was hoping we were done. We have this next week to go and then we can officially say ball is over for the season. Tournament games Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It will be quite the busy week.
Zayvn will turn 8 in 6 days. Crazy to think he will be 8!! We celebrated his birthday today since Renn has ball games next weekend. He wanted to go roller skating so we went to Skate North. It was a fun time with his friends. He was very excited about the roller blades we got him for his birthday. On a side note: we are working with the nurses/docs again at the U of I. Things can get pretty hairy around here with him and we are trying to come up with some solutions. My God is bigger than the situations that we are dealing with but sometimes it takes other people that God has trained to help when we don't know how.
Kevin is heading to Russia in just a few short weeks, right after Kid's Camp. He is going with some youth and leaders from our church plus from some other churches. He is excited about going and having this opportunity to go. I am happy for him but dislike not being able to talk to him for 15 days. I know that God is going to use this group for mighty things and I look forward to hearing all about it.
Renn, myself and Kevin will leave in 10 days for Kid's Camp. This will be Renn's last year going. I'm grateful we had a few years with the three of us going together. I always look forward to camp. The many memories we make and the times where God meets the kids and the counselors during chapel times. This year my niece Savannah will be a counselor in training. She flies in next Saturday and will go with us to camp. I'm excited for her to be here and for her to have the experience to be a counselor.
This also will be my last post for a while. I've decided to take a little break from blogging. I'll return at a later date. I don't know how many read my blog but if you do thanks for reading! Until next time....

I read, I understand the need for a blogging break also. I have been praying for your Gandmother and for you to have the best summer ever with your boys!
Love you,
